Fresh Homemade Summer Lemonade
Ingredients
for 1 lt of concentrated juice

Heat the water, sugar and lemon peels in a saucepan until it comes to a boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves.
Boil for 2 minutes without stirring, timing from the moment it starts boiling. Allow to cool completely. -
Squeeze the lemons. Add the lemon juice to the cooled syrup and stir until combined.

Strain the lemon/syrup mixture, pour it into an 1 litre bottle, and store it in the refrigerator for 2–3 months.

To serve: Fill a glass 1/3 full with lemonade and top it off with 2/3 ice-cold water, either still or sparkling. Stir with a spoon and add a few ice cubes.
Notes
Garnish with some fresh mint leaves and/or a wedge of lemon or lime.
To make it spicier, add a piece of ginger root.
