Ingredients
  • 2 slice bread (preferably country-style)
  • 2 slice turkey breast (preferably smoked)
  • 1 avocado (mature)
  • 1 clove garlic (peeled, finely cut)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice (or lime)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Prepare the avocado sauce; in a small bowl add the sliced avocado,  lemon juice, garlic and oil. Mash and combine using an immersion stick or a fork. Salt to taste.

  2. Toast the 2 slices of bread in a toaster , putting one on top of the other, until golden and crispy.

Putting the bread slices one on top of the other, makes them stay soft inside.
  3. Once the bread is toasted and still warm, spead avocado sauce over the one slice. Top it with the turkey breast slices. Top with the other bread slice.  Cut in half and devour!

Notes
  • Avocados are a nutrient powerhouse. They contain nearly 20 different vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. One-half of the fruit offers about seven grams of fiber, nearly 30 percent of your recommended daily value of fiber. It’s also a good source of vitamin C.

  • Store the remaining avocado sauce covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator for 2 days.

  • Serve with cherry tomatoes and lettuce. If desired, round out your meal with a fried, scrambled, or poached egg.
