Healthy Banana Peanut Butter Ice Cream – A super food

This is one of my favorite recipes and is dedicated to all my friends who are looking for a healthy low calorie dessert after their workouts. The banana offers quick carbs, and the peanut butter offers protein.

Easy to make, no waiting time, prepare it and enjoy it without any guilt after a run or a cardio! Also perfect as a light meal.

Ingredients
  • 2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (smooth)
  • 2 drops vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
Instructions
  1. Peel and slice up the bananas. Put them in the freezer and let them chill until they were frozen-about 3 hours. 

  2. Use a powerful blender or food processor that can crash ice. Add frozen banana slices and blend until pulverised, scraping down the sides a few times. Add all other ingredients and mix until you get a smooth and creamy mixture. Serve and enjoy!

Notes
  • This recipe is a fantastic solution for ripe bananas! Freeze them ahead so they will be ready for use.
  • Decorate with pistachios.
  • I use use the IZZY multi plus 600 mixer.
